Não precisava nem do 2 a 0 no jogo de ida, na Ilha do Urubu, para que o Santos tivesse motivação de sobra para vencer o Flamengo, nesta quarta-feira, às 21h45, na Vila Belmiro, pelo jogo de volta das quartas de final. No que depender de Vanderlei e do técnico Levir Culpi, as memórias da Copa do Brasil serão o suficiente para contagiar o elenco em busca da classificação.

-Não tem adversário fácil nessa fase. Fizeram 2 a 0 merecidamente. Temos que jogar mais agora, estamos em um grande momento e teremos a torcida nos apoiando. Teremos chance de reverter essa situação – pontua.

O aproveitamento de Vanderlei em penalidades é favorável: nos últimos seis, defendeu três e viu os batedores desperdiçarem os outros três.

Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to injury news regarding former striker Connor Wickham on social media.

The 28-year-old was let go by the Eagles over the summer after making 50 appearances for the club during a six-year stay.

Wickham has since joined Preston and made his first start at Deepdale in the week in the Carabao Cup.

However, Wickham, who missed over 140 Palace games through various injuries, had to be replaced after just seven minutes against Cheltenham Town with a hamstring problem.

It has since emerged that the centre-forward will need to see a specialist due to the injury, with head coach Frankie McAvoy claiming it ‘is not looking good’.

A previsão dos médicos e fisioterapeutas do Santos é de que Nilmar fique apenas na academia por pelo menos um mês até poder treinar em campo. O prazo, considerado curto no futebol para quem está há tanto tempo inativo, será para recondicionamento físico, conforme explicou o próprio atacante em sua apresentação no CT Rei Pelé, nesta segunda-feira.

-Meu problema é físico, não clínico. Não tenho lesão grave há dez anos. Preciso me readaptar.Não joguei por problemas contratuais, não por lesão – alegou em suas primeiras palavras.

O problema contratual em questão foi no Al-Nasr, dos Emirados Árabes, seu ex-clube. Segundo o camisa 18 do Peixe, ele não concordou com uma oferta de transferência que o clube já havia aceitado. Depois, a equipe já havia feito a inscrição de outro atleta e a janela de transferências se encerrou. Por isso, ficou 14 meses sem atuar.

-Como eu fui uma contratação alta em termos salariais, o clube decidiu me negociar. Mas como eu tinha feito contrato de dois anos, queria cumprir. Levei toda a família e queria pelo menos dois anos lá. Depois de uma temporada, alguns clubes procuraram, não era compensatório pela parte financeira e de vida. Eu tinha filhos no colégio, família adaptada… Acabou fechando a janela, contrataram outros e eu não fui inscrito. Participei de treinamentos e amistosos. É difícil explicar, só quem está lá sabe o que eu passei lá. Não vale a pena questionar muito. Eu sabia como funcionava lá, mas é bola para frente. Não guardo mágoa – detalha.

No Santos, Nilmar chegou após rescindir seu vínculo nos Emirados Árabes e assinou contrato válido até o final de 2018.

Feliz com o retorno ao Brasil após quase dois anos, o atacante ainda lembrou que quase acertou com o Peixe há 12 anos.

-Já estive próximo do Santos quando saí do Corinthians, não vim por detalhes. Quando soube da nova oportunidade, não pensei duas vezes. Hoje não foi a parte financeira que pesou. Nunca tinha ficado sem jogar sem estar lesionado. Foi ano difícil. Tive problemas contratuais. Venho muito motivado. Gostaria de entrar em campo com meu filho, ele só me viu seis meses no Inter. The Athletic’s Gregg Evans has dropped some exciting transfer insight into Aston Villa starlet Lamare Bogarde.

What’s the story?

Writing on Twitter, the journalist claimed: “#AVFC were in a rush to sign Lamare Bogarde before Brexit. #THFC #AFC #MCFC and #MUFC were all keen but Villa’s ‘project’ was too exciting to turn down. One year on and the 17-year-old is flying.”

And, in a follow-up article for The Athletic, Evans added: “Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa have both taken the hard-working teenager under their wing. They immediately warmed to the bright, polite youngster and recognise his potential.

“The youngster is calm and composed in possession and likes to play out from the back. That he’s a regular for the under-23s and was given the captain’s armband last time out also says a lot about his transformation at Villa over the past two years. Still so young but gradually developing into the player Villa hoped they were getting when they went above and beyond to convince him that claret and blue was the future, Bogarde is maturing quicker than expected.”

Villa fans will be buzzing

The 17-year-old joined from Dutch giants Feyernoord, and has been spending time with both the U23s and U18s in his time at the club.

Speaking after his arrival, academy manager Mark Harrison, raved: “We are delighted to welcome Lamare to the club. He is a player with immense potential and the commitment that will go in to fulfilling that starts now.”

A holding midfielder by trade, but also capable of playing a little further forward and even further back as a central defender, the young Dutchman’s versatility speaks volumes about his tactical intelligence.

And when you look at his record for Feyernoord’s youth sides, you see someone who despite being a holding midfielder, can also be a threat going forward, notching two goals and providing four assists in 19 games for the U17s.

The fact that Evans has claimed that the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City, among others, were all interested in signing him, speaks volumes of the kind of esteem that some of the Premier League’s heavyweights held him in.

Despite that interest, Bogarde made the switch to Villa Park, and as Evans says, found the Midlands club’s project just too exciting to turn down – exactly the kind of statement and ambition that will have fans buzzing about the future.

To my mind, the only people who have stabbed Kevin in the back are those who chose to leak the information that he had promised to quit the captaincy for the tour to the West Indies if Peter remained as coach.”According to Harmison, Pietersen decided to relinquish the England captaincy after “all attempts to resolve a growing problem had failed”. Amla had a slow start to his Test career but has had a great 2008, making 1012 including three centuries.”People used to make a big fuss about his backlift and say he’d never crack it as a top player,” Ackerman, who also coached him at the Under-19 and A levels, told . “He’s proved them wrong – it has barely changed since he was a kid.”Amla’s average was a poor 22 at the end of 2006, it jumped to 32 by the end of the next year and is now a respectable 40, and the constant improvement came in for praise from Ackerman. “He’s not static, and it’s to his credit that he’s lifted his standards both as a batsman playing all around the wicket and as a fielder too – he used to be pretty poor in that department but he’s excellent now.”Amla started the Australian tour with an unbeaten century in a one-day warm-up game against Western Australia and Ackerman felt the series would be a big challenge. “He is still finding his way against the short ball from genuinely fast bowlers, and I will be glued to my TV to see how he handles the Brett Lee barrage in the Tests.”England certainly tested Amla against the bouncer as well this year, and he bobbed and weaved and dropped his wrists rather well – but those pitches are also slower than Australian ones.”I think if Hashim gets through the Lee trial he will be up and away in Oz. من جهة أخرى، أوضحت شبكة “كادينا سير” الإسبانية أن مصادر داخل برشلونة تفيد بأن صفقة ليفاندوفسكي يتم العمل عليها للانتهاء منها بشكل رسمي في أقرب وقت ممكن.

وأفادت مصادر أخرى من بيئة ليفاندوفسكي أن الصفقة ستُغلق قبل يوم الإثنين المقبل.

كما ذكر الصحفي جيانلوكا دي مارزيو أن برشلونة حسم بالفعل صفقة ليفاندوفسكي، وأن الأخير لن يشارك في العرض التقديمي الجديد لفريق بايرن ميونخ اليوم السبت، قبل الموسم المرتقب.

في حين قال الصحفي الشهير فابريزيو رومانو أن مسألة انتقال ليفاندوفسكي إلى بايرن ميونخ يعتبر الآن مجرد مسألة وقت، بعد مفاوضات يوم الجمعة.

وأشار إلى إنه من المتوقع الآن الحصول على الضوء الأخضر النهائي من بايرن ميونخ وبعد ذلك سيتم الانتهاء من الصفقة، مع العلم أن ليفاندوفسكي لديه اتفاق مع برشلونة على صفقة لمدة 3 سنوات.

دي خيا الذي يتبقى له عام واحد على عقده البالغ 375 ألف جنيه إسترليني في الأسبوع بالإضافة إلى خيار سنة إضافية، صرح حول إمكانية تجديد عقده: “نعم، إذا كان ذلك ممكنًا”.

مضيفًا: “بالطبع سأكون سعيدًا حقًا لوجودي هنا طالما أرادوا، إذا سمحوا لي بالبقاء هنا، فسأبقى هنا بالتأكيد، أنا مرتاح حقًا، سعيد حقًا وآمل قبل أن أغادر أن نتمكن من الفوز بشيء ما”.

وهو ما يعيدنا إلى جهاز الفاكس، والفرصة الضائعة للتتويج بدوري أبطال أوروبا في ريال مدريد، ويعلق دي خيا: “لا أمانع في الحديث عن ذلك، أنا أفكر فقط في مانشستر، إنه منزلي”.

وشدد: “أشعر أنني بحالة جيدة هنا، إنه لشرف كبير أن أكون هنا في هذا النادي، من أفضل الأشياء في حياتي أن أكون جزءًا من هذا النادي”.

وواصل: “لقد مررت بأوقات عصيبة في الأندية، أوقات جيدة، لقد مررت بالعديد من المواقف التي لم نفز فيها بالقدر الذي نريده ولكني أحب النادي”.

وشدد دي خيا: “بالطبع، نريد الفوز، لكن الفوز أو عدم الفوز، مجرد التواجد في هذا النادي أكبر من أي لقب”.

O Flamengo segue se preparando para o clássico do próximo final de semana contra o Fluminense, válido pela oitava rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro e para este jogo Zé Ricardo confirmou retornos importantes dos peruanos Paolo Guerrero e também do lateral-esquerdo Miguel Trauco.

Treinador ainda comentou que restam duas dúvidas para escalar o time que irá sair jogando contra o Fluminense. Dupla peruana volta após três rodadas fora.

– Temos o time praticamente todo definido, Trauco e Guerrero voltam. Faltam duas peças que temos dúvidas se a gente mantém ou se vamos fazer alguma troca. Outro atleta que deve retornar após um tempo fora é o atacante colombiano Orlando Berrío, que está recuperado das dores musculares e será relacionado. Por outro lado, Gabriel segue de fora com problema na costela.

– Berrío está liberado e deve ser relacionado, Gabriel ainda não. Não pode ter contato e ainda vai demorar um pouco mais para retornar.

Ainda sobre o clássico, Zé Ricardo destacou os pontos fortes do Fluminense e afirmou que equipe precisa estar atenta para não ser surpreendida pelo leve time do Fluminense. Treinador quer triunfo para subir na tabela do Brasileirão e espantar a má fase.

– Preocupação é geral, sabemos do poder do Fluminense. Atletas leves e ofensivos, o mínimo de vacilo eles aproveitam.
